Making the most of LEPs

He highlighted the sensible work some areas have already conducted, forming new cross border partnerships, and questioned what will happen in the West Midlands, which has fallen victim to in-fighting in times past.

Coventry appeals "unfair" BSF decision

The coalition government scrapped the city’s £355 million scheme but Gove has pledged a review team will visit Coventry.

Warwick University science facility opens

Professor Phil Mawby, head of the new facility, presented the first semiconductor wafer to be processed by the new facility to Professor Chris Snowden, president of the Institution of Engineering and Technology at the opening ceremony.

Croydon retail centre slips down shopping ranking

New shopping centres at Liverpool, Cardiff and Westfield in London have all leapfrogged Croydon in the annual Caci ranking, which forecasts retail expenditure for the borough at an estimated £770m for 2010. read more
