HCA boost for Gloucester

Chatham milestone reached

From: Medway (Medway1)Plans for further redevelopment in Chatham were given the go-ahead at the end of last month.
Medway Council cabinet members approved proposals for the redevelopment of the High Street and Best Street.
The area's masterplan places an emphasis on retail, with Chatham becoming the shopping centre of Medway, thanks to at least 30,000sq m of additional retail space. read more

A scrum of camera crews and photographers had been waiting since the visit was announced at around 9.30am. On a charm offensive to locals, with his wife Sarah, Brown had obviously prioritised Kent as an important front in his battle to beat Conservative leader David Cameron. read more
Lowry Outlet Mall embraces MediaCityUK

The Mall is set to receive an additional boost from the neighbouring MediaCityUK project, creating a 'golden triangle' of retail and leisure attractions including The Lowry theatre (celebrating its 10th anniversary this year) and the Imperial War Museum North. read more

The development is less than a mile from Manchester city centre, offering one-, three- and four-bedroom homes priced at, respectively, £70,000, £125,000 and £155,000. Countryside aims to create a 3,500-home "vibrant new community on Salford's eastern edge".

During the week-long show, the biggest property event of the year, Coventry fronted a major seminar on how the downturn has affected levels and patterns of investment.
The city also showcased the remarkable Jaguar XJ and the new Spyker supercar, as well as announcing a new build in Far Gosford Street. read more
