A crucial decision has been made to move the second WOW London event to February 2020, due to the upcoming December snap general election.
The new date of 26 February will give the popular annual event’s public sector speakers and delegates the chance to digest the outcome of the election result – and to speak with clarity about vital topics affecting growth in West London and the Thames Valley.
Moving the date from November will mean the occasion will not be in the shadow of the winter election, and speakers will be able to talk freely without being restricted by purdah or pre-election period rules.
After vital consultation with WOW London's host borough, Ealing Council, the event is being moved to 2020 to allow organisers the chance to examine how the political and economic landscape has changed post-election in West London and the Thames Valley.
The event will still happily be held at the University of West London, in Ealing, and will feature an exciting programme focusing on important growth and investment opportunities in the region.
The 2020 event will include leading investors, developers and regional stakeholders who will highlight and discuss opportunities about west London and beyond.
The inaugural event in November 2018 was a huge success with more than 200 members of the public and private sector having crucial conversations about the impact of the new Elizabeth line, economic growth, skills and workforce and the wider implications of Heathrow Airport’s expansion.
We hope you can join us on 26 February for WOW London 2020. For more details about the event head to: www.wow-london.net
